Cavendish
This seaside resort community was once the home of Lucy Maud Montgomery, author of the Anne of Green Gables children’s novels. The lush Cavendish area provided her inspiration for the setting of her series, and the legacy of both Montgomery and her books lives on today at Green Gables Heritage Place, one of the most visited parts of the much larger Prince Edward Island National Park.
