While modern-day Dover is a manufacturing hub and one of the state’s fastest growing regions, the city is historically known for its role in the post-Independence era. Many of the structures located on The Green date to the days of the Revolution, encompassing houses, a church, a tavern and some government buildings such as the Delaware Legislative Hall.
